How do I install, pin, and set up Chart Auditor? +

You'll be up and running in under two minutes — it works the same in Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.

Install it. In Google Chrome, open the Chart Auditor listing in the Chrome Web Store and click Add to Chrome → Add extension. In Microsoft Edge, open the Chart Auditor listing in Microsoft Edge Add-ons and click Get → Add extension.
Pin it to your toolbar. Click the puzzle-piece (Extensions) icon at the top-right of your browser, find Chart Auditor, and click the pin so it's always one click away from any note.
Create your account. Click the Chart Auditor icon and follow the prompts — sign in with Google, Microsoft, or your work email, then accept the Terms of Service and Business Associate Agreement (BAA) by typing your full legal name (required before any note is reviewed). Then start your 7-day free trial from your account page — unlimited audits during the trial, $99/month after unless you cancel.
Run your first audit. Open a note in your web EMR, click the Chart Auditor icon, and choose Review this note. Answer the quick prompt if asked, and you'll get field-by-field suggestions in seconds — edit, paste, and sign off in your EMR as usual.

Do you store patient data or PHI? +

No. Notes are processed in memory to generate suggestions and then discarded. Our database keeps metadata only — note type, standards used, timestamps — never note content or patient information. Every user signs a BAA during setup.

How does it work inside my EMR? +

Chart Auditor is a Chrome extension. Finish a note in any web-based EMR, click the icon, and it reads the note's fields, checks them against the standards that apply, and shows suggested wording side-by-side. You review, replace, and sign off as usual — without leaving your EMR. No integrations or IT project required.

Which states and standards do you cover? +

We compile real insurer medical-necessity policies, state healthcare regulations, and TJC/CARF standards into versioned criteria. We're live in Florida, California, Arizona, Texas, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Ohio, with more added regularly.

Does this replace my clinical judgment? +

Never. Chart Auditor only reworks what you actually wrote and flags missing required elements with example language — it never invents symptoms, diagnoses, or observations. You make the final clinical call and sign in your EMR as always.

Can I cancel anytime? Is there a contract? +

Yes. Self-serve is month-to-month at $99 and you can cancel anytime from Manage billing on your account page. Every new account starts with a 7-day free trial with unlimited audits; a card is collected up front and nothing is charged until day 8, so cancel before then and you pay nothing. Enterprise is an annual plan that renews each year.

Do you offer facility or team pricing? +

Yes. On Self-serve, the account owner invites teammates by email from the account page; each teammate who joins adds $25/month to the same subscription, prorated, and removing them removes the charge. Teammates accept the Terms of Service only — the owner's BAA covers the whole organization. Facilities can choose the Enterprise plan at checkout: $3,000/year with 10 seats included.
